Viola Gonzales is the former President of the League of Women Voters of Oakland and a past City of Oakland Assistant to the Mayor for Economic Development and Employment. A retired nonprofit executive and Glenview resident, Ms. Gonzales previously served as CEO of Anew America Community Corporation, an organization providing business training to new Americans, women, people of color, and low to moderate income workers. She previously served as Executive Director of the Latino Community Foundation, Latino Issues Forum, and Oakland YWCA and Chief Operating Officer of The Unity Council.
